Dear Diary,

Today we learned how much fun it could be to compile lists of media email contacts. These are useful for when you want to send all the journalists in the world (or just in America!) news about your bad hair day. Once you compile those lists, you might want to share them with your friends, just like Editor Cathy Woods at Creative Resistance did. Of course, if you get tired while typing all those addresses, or just decide that Resistance is Futile, feel free to stop after the first one.

Of course, at Port Watson, we never stop after the first one. Sometimes we stop BEFORE the first one, though!

You Will Do as You are Told, Until the Rights to You are Sold.....

Colorado pursues constitutional Pledge of Allegiance law
(SMW) - Colorado may follow the lead of Illinois in its effort to get public school youngsters to recite the Pledge of Allegiance each day. With Colorado's new mandatory pledge law on hold as the result of a court battle, the lawmaker who helped enact the state's challenged statute said he'll take corrective action quickly next year.

From the Sac Bee...

Did you ever think about this? Why would you pledge alliegence to a FLAG? How about something more useful, like the Constitution? I quit doing the pledge thing around elementary school, as soon as I found out that nobody was paying much attention to WHAT I was mumbling.

This isn't a very funny story, but it's one you should read...

Jose Padilla: No Charges and No Trial, Just Jail

It's taken me awhile to catch up on all my email since my hard drive crashed...but I'm getting to it finally.

Found this page for the Consortium of Genius, with their ad for Cog Lite, which is a parody (is that possible?) of the Bud Lite Real Men of Genius commercials. The ad is funny, give it a listen! I'll admit to being a big fan of these Budweiser ads, even though I couldn't remember what they were selling until I looked it up. Strangely, the radio ads for Bud are available in several places, including here at Mindless Crap, but not at the corporate site. At Port Watson, of course, we've made all of our ads invisible, so as not to disturb innocent passers by.
